Parking/Access Road Notes: Spaces were available at 7:45 a.m. on an overcast Saturday.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Significant

Water Crossing Notes: Low water; all crossings were easy. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: On the Hancock Loop Trail, several difficult muddy patches on the ridge link need bog bridges. The south link has a lot of loose scree, and one large rock step on the south link was rolled out of place at some time during the day. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Three different hikers had dogs; all were well-behaved.

Bugs: Much too windy for bugs.

Comments: I was part of the Flags on the 48 team for South Hancock. We were at the summit from 11:30 to 2:15 and we had about 25 visitors plus a helicopter fly-by.
