Parking/Access Road Notes: Fee tube dug out of ground and ready for removal. Jefferson Notch Road from cog side was fine.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes: None 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is extremely brushing, especially between the potholes and treeline. Most of the waterbars are completely filled in. Trail is in dire need of some Level 1 work. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Not a good hike for most dogs, due to scrambles, deep crevaces in one place, and lots of sharp traprock up high.

Comments: Trail was mostly dry. Hope AMC gets some Level 1 maintenance done on this trail soon (AMC maintained trail for the USFS). Took the Cornice to avoid the rough upper part of Caps Ridge. Windy today!
