Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, August 25, 2012
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The parking was overflowing when we returned to the car.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The crossing on Dicey's Mill is very easy due to low water level
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All trails were in very good condition. The new work on the Blueberry Ledge trail was very impressive.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The Blueberry Ledge Rollins trails had no water at all, not even a small puddle. There is some water on the Diceys's Mill trail above Rollins and at the stream crossing. You should bring water for your dog. The ledges on the Blueberry Ledge trail are significant. Some dogs will love them (I couldn't keep up with Lauky as he went up) but if your dog doesn't like ledges this is not the trail of choice.
Bugs
Bugs: The bugs were not much of a factor today.
