Awesome day! This was an AMC hike. Thanks Ed!!! Great views as expected from the viewpoints. NOTE ABOUT SKIING: although Zealand Rd has been plowed, it is still quite skiable (a little rough from the sanding in places, but only scratchy in spots). Then, the skiing on Zealand Tr all the way to the hut is just awesome!!! Nicely packed on the trail; soft powder off the sides of the trail. Drainages all skiable. I didn't have to take the skis off once. The others in our group booted to the hut. From the hut to Zealand Mtn, the snowshoe conditions were great!!!! |
