Many have hiked this trail in recent months with no problems. Please be advised that new signs are up along the road after the first rusty gate. White signs say:"This is not the trail to Mount Cabot. The trail to Mount Cabot is in Berlin. Call the AMC." under these white signs are red signs saying NO TRESSPASSING this trail has been close for 5 years". These signs are brand new and look like they have been posted in the last few days. We turned around and did not hike this route and I advise others to avoid this trailhead and use the Berlin fish hatchery route. |
