A few wooden steps are rotting and there were a few bog bridges that could be replaced, but all-in-all, nice trail, easy to follow, fun scrambling. |

Lots of rock scrambling and lots of places where an unleashed dog could easily fall off a cliff. Very glad Max was not with us on this one. |

Wonderful day -- this is our kind of trail. The girls enthusiastically tackled the steeps and scrambled up the rocks quick as a flash -- we made it to Mizpah Hut half an hour faster than adult book time. Would have made it there even faster if the girls didn't have to continually stop and wait for their old mother. Great stay at Mizpah Hut, fun conversations with six NOBO thru-hikers and one SOBO thru-hiker. The girls did some trail magic and gave all the thru-hikers chocolate bars (I always carry a bunch this time of year whenever we're on a section of the AT).
