| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking lot is shared with picnic area. We got there early (7:00am) and was first car, lot was over-flowing on hike down. Also WMNF fee area $3.00 a day or purchase parking pass at a ranger station. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |

| Recommended Equipment: |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All 7 crossings on approach were easy. Very dry summer has water levels low. Can see how some of the crossings could be difficult after heavy rain. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few duck-unders and go-arounds, nothing major. Yellow blazes on trees at river crossings help you get back on trail. Look for them before you start the crossing. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Picked this trail because of dogs and was not disapointed. Plenty of water on lower approach, had one doge carry 2 liters of water for the top. |
|
| Bugs: |
A few deer flies and fly-in-your-eyes but not bad. Many house flies on Tripyrimid. |

| Comments: |
This is a great appraoch if you have dogs. Very gentle to moderate grades. The last half mile gets steep but nothing my labs. couldn't handle, even carrying a pack. |
