Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossings were low or bridged.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All trails in great shape and free of blowdowns. The Jewell Spur has been routed back to it's original location to Marshfield Station and the bridge has been replaced.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Marlie and Brewer did great. This was Brewer's first time on these peaks and Marlie's 4th up Monroe and 5th up Washington. Very little water above treeline.
Bugs
Bugs: A stiff breeze kept them away for the most part. There were a few deer flies near the end of our hike.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Some a** left a trail of orange hard candy wrappers along the lower portion of the Jewell TR which we picked up. Lots of TP in the woods just below treeline on the Jewell Tr as well. Boo!

Comments
Comments: Excellent day for this hike. We got a good sunburn even though it was mostly cloudy. I should have known better.
