Blowdowns on most of the trails, though Rainbow was the best maintained one in the bunch, great job to that maintainer! Part of wild river trail by the river had some storm damage, but there was flagging pointing you in the right direction. |

Beautiful loop and a great weather day to do it! Rainbow trail was amazing, ferns, birch glades, an unexpected awesome view from the trail, only downside was overgrown raspberry bushes, but you can't have it all! Muddy start to Wild River trail, some sections quite slippery! If I were to camp, I'd chose the Spruce Brook tentsite over the Perkins Notch one. Final stretch of Wild River trail (from crossing to campground) had some storm damage, but there was flagging and always paths around the destruction. |
