Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Nothing to worry about.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There were no problems on a dry day. After rain, there would be issues with the brushy parts of the Glen Boulder Trail near Slide Peak, and with the worn and absent bog bridges on the Davis Path. There are nice, new-looking bog bridges on the Boott Spur Trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: B.Y.O.B. for the long stretches between streams.
Bugs
Bugs: They barely bothered me at all, but the next day I found a couple of black fly bites.

Comments
Comments: Latte Man hiked with me up to Glen Boulder and then met me later on the Boott Spur Trail on the way down. I met four other groups of 2-3 hikers each, plus one teenage boy running alone down the Davis Path with a toy (?) gun and apparently little else. That seemed unusual so I reported it at the visitor center and I hope he's o.k.

The wind was forecast to gust 30-50 in the morning and 25-40 in the afternoon, which seemed accurate. Layers and two different hats were on and off a lot, between the colder open sections and the warmer wooded sections. Views were terrific all day.
