Parking/Access Road Notes: No fee required on Gale River Loop Rd.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes: All were easy. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The new section of Gale River Tr is nice and soft on the feet right now but the mud was slick in a few spots. Frost Tr was a little brushy near the Twin Brook Tr junction. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Easy hike for Marlie and Brewer. Lots of water along the way. Nice to be able to put a face to Pepper and Me although I did not know it was them until we passed each other a second time.

Bugs: None on the way up but annoying on the last three miles before the parking lot.

Comments
Comments: The rain stopped just as we put our boots on the trail. Easy hike today allowing us to be home for afternoon cookouts. No views from the hut or lookout. The skies were clearing some as we descended.
