| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Good parking. Since it's a ski resort, there are many lots - one of the Waterville Valley staff directed me to the right lot and trail head. |

Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Standing/Running Water on Trail |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Several little streams. No problems. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Nice signage, nicely maintained trails. A couple minor blowdowns on Sosman Trail. Please remember that this is a ski area and occasionally you may cross a water pipe |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw one dog. Seemed like a good place for them |
|
| Bugs: |
Absolutely no biting flies on the trails themselves, but on the ski trails you will be chewed upon! |

What a great hike! For many reasons! For those who looking for a non-marathon not too far from home (we live in MA) this is good. It was threatening to rain when we started (2 earlier hikers were socked in) but we did get nice views from the summit. The slopes had unmatched views and unmatched wild flowers, but also unmatched blackflies (so plan accordingly!). #31 for us! |
