Dog-Related Notes: Some water along trail, and plenty at Liberty Spring. From summit of Liberty, we opted for an out-and-back to Flume, rather than risk descending Flume Slide Trail with Yellow Bear.
Bugs
Bugs: Not many in the woods. The breeze on top kept the black flies at bay.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Black Techwick shirt found on bottom thrid of Liberty Spring Trai. Left it hanging there on a tree.

Comments
Comments: Trails nice and dry. We parked at Flume VC and took bike path to Liberty Spring Trail. I'm not sure if this is the standard route, or is there closer parking to the north or south? If you know, please email me. At the sharp right hand turn about 0.5 miles up Liberty Spring Trail, a fairly well-defined herd-path enters from the left, presumably from the Basin parking area. Can anyone confirm this? If so, it would cut off about a mile or so. Beautiful day on ridge, 72F an sunny. We spent over two hours on the summits of Flume and Liberty just gazing into the Pemi. Simply spectacular views today.
