Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking, only one other car. Parked inside the Berlin Fish Hatchery in the Unknown Pond parking area. Spoke to the Hatchery folks who confirmed the gates are not currently being closed. But would suggest calling ahead to confirm.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Some have bridges the rest can be rock hopped.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in good shape. Some bridges could use repair, but still can be crossed. York Pond Trail and the beginning of Bunnell Notch Trail seem overgrown from lack of use. We saw recent work between the cabin and summit.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Abby the Wonder Mutt had a great day. We saw no other dogs today
Bugs
Bugs: Many mosquitoes, black flies and horse flies throughout the day. Biting and annoying.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Abby the Wonder Mutt found a watch on the trail. Email us for it's return. There is also a green LL Bean sleeping bag left at the cabin, it is still there.

Comments
Comments: It was a hot and humid day with with an occassional welcomed breeze. We saw no one all day. This hike was not bad and we were staying in Twin Mountain, so the distance wasn't too much of an issue either. We have included the link to the video from the day if you are interested.
