Comments
Comments: 1" of fresh powder low and increasing to about 6" with elevation. Lots of drifting, especially on the Rollins Tr. Switched to snowshoes at the start of the steeps and left them on for the rest of the day. Ledges have some ice. I was able to climb them with my snowshoes. I had to use my ice ax on the step just above the first scramble. It's blue ice here with no hand holds. Two before me breaking trail. They continued up to Passaconaway. Trails are broken but not consolidated. Better day than I thought it would be. No wind with bright sunshine. Temps in the mid teens.
