Parking/Access Road Notes:
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Standing/Running Water on Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Crossing on lower Huntington Ravine Trail was a little tricky. Otherwise, no issues.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: No blowdowns. Nelson Crag Trail below treeline was in need of brushing. Sad to see lots of waterbars blown out on that trail, resulting in rock staircases getting undermined and washed out.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Madison had fun. Extended stretches Boott Spur Link to Lawn Cutoff, Lawn Cutoff to lower Nelson Crag Trail) without water. Lots of sharp, warm rock - she has well developed hiking pads, so she was fine, but most dogs would struggle with this loop.
Bugs
Bugs: Some black flies above treeline if sitting.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found:

Comments
Comments: Lots of trail segments combining into one loop. Still some snow visible in the ravine, but not skiable (undermined). Nelson Crag was rough to descend.
