| Water Crossing Notes: |
After all the rain we had, I prepared for the worst. I had no idea what I would encounter. Bring waterproof boots, poles and a sense of humor until these trails dry out. Got some wet toes on the water crossings but "standing water" doesnt quite cover what we encountered on the Cedar Brook Trail. Knee deep water, the dog kicked in her swimming reflex in the center of the trail it was so deep. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Bog bridges moved out of place from high levels of water on the Cedar Brook Trail. Water bars had been cleaned out and signs of recent trail work. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
The dog had a great time and I didnt have to carry any extra water at all! |

| Comments: |
Decided to head out to the Hancocks on my much needed mental health holiday. I knew I would get some wet feet, but I had no idea that I should have brought a snorkel. The Cedar Brook Trail has been widened by the reccurent rains forming puddles and people walking around them. |
