Water Crossing Notes: Rock hops
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails pretty good. Davis Path had a couple blowdowns near the intersection with Isolation going W, and some easily manageable mud in the failing bog bridges section. All the water bars were nicely cleaned out on it. Glen Boulder could use a brushing up in the wooded sections below Slide Peak. One of the signs is down on Davis Path .1 mile from Crawford.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Pepper and Cinnilla had fun. The boulders can be rough on pads not toughened by hiking, but P & C had no problems. There's a lot of water by Tuckermans, a fair amount on Davis and some down low on Glen Boulder, but they needed water from us too. There was water for some delightful dips periodically.
Bugs
Bugs: Some annoying black flies on Isolation Peak and then on Glen Boulder trail, but overall it wasn't bad.

Comments
Comments: Another great hike with Georg, Per & Cinnilla. Very comfy weather, great scenics, nice trails and wonderful companions. We didn't see many hikers the whole day, or many tourists on Washington, so it was fun visiting with those we did meet. Tuckermans up was dry but with lots of water and some snow nearby. We saw some skiers heading up. There was very little wind on Washington so we used the picnic tables. Great seeing Erica there.

It was a nice hike over to Isolation with a short side trip to Boott Spur. On the way back we got N. Isolation with a short wack finding a hint of a herd trail.

The hike down Glen Boulder had a few black bugs, and it irritated my tender foot, but the views were great even as the clouds rolled in.

Direttissima is a nice little woods walk back. What a great day on the trails.
