| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Packed lot. I had to park on the shoulder of the on-ramp next to the visitors center at 1045 am. Others after me had to park on the shoulder of I-93. |

Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Standing/Running Water on Trail |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Only significant crossing is at the outlet of the lake past the hut. Rock-hoppable without issue. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails are in superb condition. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Tons of happy dogs out and about on a magnificent day for hiking. |

| Bugs: |
Some here and there, mostly kept at bay by the winds which picked up on Agony Ridge. Applied spray at th trailhead and had no issue. |

I lost some weight and gained some strength. |

| Comments: |
It was a grand day, the trails packed with hikers from all over. Views were to about 25 miles at the summit at 4 pm, better earlier. Trails were in superb condition, with some wet and muddy spots, the trickiest stretch coming with the steep basalt dike on Agony Ridge at maybe 3600'. Was about 50-55 F at summit, 10-20 variable winds sustained, with occasional gusts into the 30s and 40s. |
