Sydney loved the hike. However, she probably wishes I would hurry up. Very helpful to have a dog on a hike, especially on the bushwhacks. The dog follows the scent trail of previous hikers. |

Yes, I am a blood donor. Fewer biters above 3500'. |

| Comments: |
Started by bushwhacking from 19 mile parking lot to Imp. No major thickets and only a small swamp to walk around. Easy rock hop over Cowboy Brook.
Imp trail dry in the morning. Had a view from sunny N. Carter Trail looking down at a cloud passing through pinkham notch. On Carter-Moriah, swift windswept clouds moved alternately east and west over the ridge. The Spruces condensed the water out of the clouds creating local windblown rain. Many warblers hunkered down in the alpine bush. Steep wet trail down to Carter Notch was not slippery. A great hike. |
