Water Crossing Notes: one crossing on this trail was rockhoppable

Trail Maintenance Notes: Lower MountCabot trail a mix of great trail and long muddy spots several blowdowns. Above the jct in great shape..The maze of blowdowns surrounding the trail bed past the cabin is amazing..great job by the maintainers..lots of braided trail in this section tho going around remaining blowdowns

Comments: Rainy cloudy on the drive up but never teally got rained on on the trail. This will be an exceptional wildflower hike the next sunny day..Trillium,,trout lily, spring beauties all in full bloom with columbine just coming along. gorgeous. In the fog with some wind beyond the cabin.. The lupine along the access road down below will be exceptional and a don't miss in another couple of weeks..acres of them it seems. great morning hike with Valerie
