| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
No parking issues. Some tourists camping on Haystack road going way too fast nearly caused an accident though so use caution. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Significant, Snow/Ice - Small Patches, Standing/Running Water on Trail |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Three very difficult water crossings. The water is very high and the rocks are sparse. We tried bushwacking around them but found most of them were still difficult. The *safest* option on the largest crossing was to balance our way across a large recently-fallen tree. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Small section of the trail has been eroded away and the bank has fallen into the river. It is marked with orange "DANGER" tape and there is a small herd-path around it. Some other sections of the trail are washed out and indistinct due to high water. Easy enough to find your way though as the trail pretty much follows the river in these sections. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Dogs are likely to have significant issues with the water crossings. Recommend using caution. |
|
| Bugs: |
A few early season black flies, but no dark swarms of blood sucking agony yet. |
