Falling waters definitely is in need water bar work. One blowdown above falls belwo shining rock. Its high enough that hikers can get under it. Some of the rock steps in a couple of spots was appreciated |

Nice day for an exercise. I did the loop clockwise. OBP has only on or two patches of ice both can be avoided. Falling waters from treeline to Shinging rock still has lots of ice, not enough for traction but definitely slows one down.
Just about perfect conditions, I had high clouds on the ridge, with light breeze, switching to full sun going down falling waters. No bugs! Real quiet in the parking lots. |
