Owl's head is almost snow and ice free except for the summit area. Running water on the slide at times but easy going. I hiked the Lincoln Brook Trail roughly a mile past the junction with Owl's Head before I entered the woods for the drainage stream that leads perfectly to Mt Lincoln. I hiked past the two ponds just north of the stream and cut back over once past the ponds. It was mostly open woods bushwacking until the stream and then a clear path up the slide to the summit of Mt Lincoln. The small sections of trail ascending Liberty and Flume from the north was the most snow I saw all day. |
