| Comments: |
there is a lot of mud, but nothing you couldn't avoid. Just past the spring there is a bunch of ice on the trail and from just below the summit of Starr King to Waumbek there is patchy snow, ice and old monorail, but never anything unavoidable. The wildflowers in the deciduous forest near the start of the trail are amazing! worth going to see in the next week or so. My first hike with no traction this year. |
