 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
First time hiking down Zealand Road, I'd recommend bringing a book to read because it is a LONG ways to 302!! Also, our group really could have used a beer at this point. |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Some rock hopping on the Wilderness Trail, the rest are snowbridged. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in great condition(until Sunday night I fear). As Wolfang mentioned, the section between Zealand and Zeacliff is very heavily covered with leanovers and blow downs. There is a definite crawl-under at one point. |

Really nothing to add to Wolfgang's report. All the hardcore hikers were out in force. |
