| Comments: |
We left quite early so there was a trace of snow at Lincoln Woods that increased to about 3/4" by the summit. There was some ice and stable monorail under the snow but we felt we were not slipping so we never put our microspikes on (although another couple we passed wore theirs above the ladders to the summit). As forecasted, it was very windy at the top so we didn't stay long but the views were great. By the time we hiked down, the trail was bare trail after the switchbacks. What a difference from the shortsleeves we wore a week ago to the summit of Lafayette. #28 for us. |
