Who remembers how messy, muddy and gross Mt Kinsman Trail was a decade ago? Well, we all have Bruce to thank for the outstanding work that's been done to whip it into shape. Between days of his life spent maintaining it, and his powers of coercion to get others to help (including me), it is becoming one of the more pleasant trails out there. So thank Bruce if you ever see him out there.
Also, thank the landowner if you see him. He has no obligation to keep access open, and despite some recent changes, let's all appreciate that this trail hasn't gone the way of the old Mt. Cabot trail.
Anyway...the trail is as good as it gets for November. A little wet in places, and very leafy down low, but very nice overall. |
