Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: 3/4 full Zealand TH lot at 8am. Pretty open Lincoln Woods lot mid afternoon.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Snow/Ice - Small Patches
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The water is very low, so all crossings are easy. Even the East Branch of the Pemi is low, but strong. If you decide to cross it, triple check directions or you'll get your feet wet. I clearly only double checked.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Bondcliff Trail from the Franconia Brook intersection to the Black Brook turn is a mess of blow downs. I would guess 20-30 blowdowns, most under 12" diameter are laying in various states across the trail. All can be navigated pretty easily, but there is an awful lot of cutting and dragging to be done.

Comments
Comments: With fall slowly turning into winter it's time for me to stop trying to be entertaining and try being helpful.
The trails are in great shape. Small patches of ice pop up starting around Zeacliff, but nothing that would require traction. Muddy spots are solid and rocks are dry. It's an amazing time to play around on the Bonds.

With one caveat. Don't trust me to find the not so secret bushwhack from East Side Trail across the Pemi to Lincoln Woods. I will inevitably screw it up and refuse to take simple steps like scrolling Facebook, Strava, NETrailConditions, ChatGPT, Claude, actual humans, or any of 50 other resources that clearly place the infamous tree near Franconia Brook tent site, and definitely NOT near the intersection of Osseo Trail and Lincoln Woods. In all seriousness, this was clearly Scott's fault for trusting me to get it right. So shame him next time you see someone that you think is me on the trails but is much faster.
