Comments
Comments: A fast climb this morning to Garfield so wind was still fairly light when I summited, but Presidentials were still in the clouds. Winds increased and summit clouds cleared through the day. The waterfall section of Garfield Ridge was wet, but not icy, so I could descend safely, albeit slowly. Minor ice above 3700 feet on Garfield trail was easily avoided; no ice elsewhere. I forgot how rough Garfield Ridge is; it was slow going. Nice views from Galehead outlook and ledge on herd path to ascender’s left from summit.
