An excellent cool fall sunny weather today to do the Wildcats. Hiking up the ski trail polecat is easy to follow with decent footing, but you definitely will feel the vertical burn. Great views from Wildcat D and Wildcat A with expansive views of the Presidential's in several places on the ridge. Don't be fooled into thinking it is just a flat ridge walk. You hike all four summits twice going out and back. Happy to pick a great weather day. Sunny and cool perfect. Saw several small avoidable ice patches hiking up the ski slope, but none on the ridge. I only saw one hiker all day while approaching Wildcat A. No mud and leaves were not an issue surprisingly . There really wasn't any on the trail. Thanks Chad for route suggestion.
