Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The mighty oak assisted in getting us over the East Branch. From the Pemi Wilderness sign, diverge down a road to the water. You will be able to see trestle seven, and a large oak down slightly upstream. All crossings of Lincoln Brook no problem
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lincoln Brook Trail Maintainer here! 30+ waterbars cleared, brushed in abandoned section of Lincoln Brook that people for some reason remove to go through wetlands, one fire ring dismantled. Cleared out ~150' of drainage swale in one of a handful of long rail line sections, this one should dry out eventually now. The first one where the line from camp 10 enters will need serious work. Hoping to get some aid from USFS for water mitigation next year. Several blowdowns but all are within wilderness guidelines and all step overs. Overall the trail is in "average" shape. This trail is wet in a drought. Also several blowdowns removed along summit ridge to atleast help prevent braiding over the winter.

Comments
Comments: A FINE day in Henry's Woods. This was a trail maintenance day for me. I did not summit but the group did via the slide and brutus. Nothing of note. Access has been a challenge, especially solo with tools, so when I had a group going - i tagged along. There is a remarkable amount of leaf litter on Lincoln Woods, Black Pond, and Lincoln Brook, likely due to FAR less traffic than normal. Many water bars cleared and a few perpetual problem areas in the spring cleared out. Hopefully the pond that always forms in one section will dissipate as I raked like a 20x20 area and a few outflows.
