Trail in great shape. One blow down next to trail just after Last water crossing, with branches crossing a bit of the trail. But it is very passable. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Cody had a blast. Lower water crossings had flowing water for drinking or cooling off. A big bonus were the small patches of snow; the dusting was sufficient for a first roll in the white stuff to cool off. Met a few other pups having fun on the trails. |
|
 | Bugs: |
a few not bothersome |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Insulated women mitten. This was hanging on a tree about half way up Liberty springs trail. Brought it to the trail head where it is hanging on a wooden sign in front of the bathrooms, I believe the sign points way to the basin. |

 | Comments: |
Fantastic day in the mountains. Blue bird sky and not a bit of wind. Views were incredible, just one of those days. Trail starts dry; snow made an appearance around 3100ft, but could be melted with the warmer temps. Some packed ice between rocks approaching the ridge trail, and in spots between rocks along the ridge trail especially on the north sides of L&F. Recommendation for nano spikes was spot on to help especially on descent. Patches of mud with a few by-passes on the ridge trail between peaks. |
