Comments
Comments: Moderate hike until the slide, then very steep. There was moisture on some of the slabs at the beginning of the slide, and I did in fact "slide" on one of them. Took the herd path bypasses for some sections, but further up the rocks were not as slick. Both the Flume and Liberty peaks had great views and comfy spots to stay out of the wind. Liberty Springs tent site was filling up by 2 pm. Took pity on a clueless couple on the descent - hiking without poles, backpack or water!!! She had trouble with her knees, was completely dehydrated, and was moving at a snails' pace. I shared my poles, electrolyte water, GU and headlamp and we made it down by 7 pm. They were too clueless to know they were clueless. Glad I could help.
