Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Great! Nice signage. Yellow blazes look fresh. Thanks!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Lot of happy dogs yesterday. Bring enough water.
Bugs
Bugs: We nicknamed Pawtuckaway Mosquitoville years ago. Thought September would be safe, but there were still a few. IMPORTANT- There is a warning sign about bees and wasps on the steps of the fire tower. It mentioned they were not aggressive. I had no problems, but they may make some people nervous.

Comments
Comments: A nice woods walk with a steep pitch up to the summit, only 45 minutes from home. Trail seemed a little easier than before. Don't miss the small spur right before the top. Great views. Cab is closed, but you can get up right underneath it. Lots of useful info posted, like what you are looking at.Trails are wide and woods are very open. A great place to keep in shape for bigger hikes, and pretty in its own right.

Will return to check out the other two peaks from the Deerfield side. There is a boulder field there, too. Watch for future reports.
