 | Trails: |
Valley Way, Osgood |
 | Date of Hike: |
Monday, August 31, 2026 |
 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Appalachia was 3/4 or more full at 7:30am, with a few spaces left, and no vehicles on the roadside. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Anything that would be called a crossing had so little flow as to be walk-across. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Valley Way is in good shape, with no blowdowns of any concern. In the last few tenths of a mile below the hut, the encroaching bushes could become something of a car wash in wet weather. Above the hut, that rock pile has nothing to maintain! |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
None seen today. |
 | Bugs: |
None seen, and no bug juice applied. |
 | Lost and Found: |
Someone found some sort of thing (electronic?) on a wrist strap and left it on the sign a few yards below the hut. |

 | Comments: |
Another great OTHH outing, and a large one at that! One of us took Upper Bruin over to Airline, avoiding the steep slippery climb up lower Airline, to bag Adams. |
