This is a great trail, but can be tricky with all of the moss. The trail is mostly in shadows on the north side of the ridge and Moss is all over the trail, on the roots on the rocks and I'd swear there is even moss growing on top of the moss. The small ledges covered moss on the trail were the most slippery. For the first time since I've been hiking I ran across an adult male moose just 50 feet up the trail from me about a mile and a half from the trailhead. Those things are really big. |
