I was pretty amazed how rotted out the Willey ladders are- much worse than 6 years ago. The first ladder doesn't even have half the rungs, and the walkable areas to the sides of the ladder are getting very eroded.
the swampier part of AZ was a touch overgrown, but not bad. Some of the bog bridges near Ethan Pond on Ethan Pond Trail were sinking |

Was very pleasantly surprised by the AZ trail, very beautiful upper half.Despite the 16.5 miles, it didn't feel like that much with all the lovely flat sections. I'd do this one again! |
