Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trail is in very rough shape. Very degraded, lots of loose rocks, lots of going around the hard areas onto soft woods on the side, and the famous ladders are truly a mess. Challenging going up and the crumbling ladders were dangerous going down. They were wet which made it worse. It is time to truly repair them.

Comments
Comments: In the last year since I have done this trail it has declined a lot. It is a shame because it could be a nice hike, steep yes, but I can only imagine how it once looked with solid path and well constructed ladders up the steepest rocks. In search of better footing, people are going off trail on the sides and further degrading the trail, and the ladders are in pieces. Can you really call them ladders when some have no planks at all?
