 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We parked on "Spur Road" (so called, not signed), south of the summit. It runs from Little Dead Diamond Road in a westerly fashion. Generally speaking parking was here: 44.973220841134086, -71.1597163576977. There is a pretty massive washout that heroics would be involved with a high clearance vehicle, and you will be parking about 1/4 of a mile past this, regardless. |

A FINE day to be a bear. Thanks to Big Al Dente's report, we utilized the logging line on the easterly side of the drainage which took us most of the way to the peak. It's definitely a pants hike, there are ample game paths to be had on the skidder road, the bears are feasting on the raspberries. No issues with thorns or anything on this one. Pretty straight forward, nothing really of note. Woods good once you break into non logged section, some cliff bands 4.44 miles, 2:20 - a good chunk of which was us picking raspberries and blackberries |
