Rattle River Trail has a few crossings. All were easy today. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Rattle River Trail is generally in good shape. There's one blowdown obstructing the trail and causing a herd path. It is roughly 3.5 miles from Rte. 2, but a hand saw should take care of it. Kenduskeag trail is in good shape between the Rattle River junction and Mt. Moriah. Between the same junction and Shelburne Moriah, Kenduskeag needs brushing -- badly. There is also a blowdown obstructing the trail about 0.5 miles from the summit. Again, a hand saw should take care of it. |

Went up Rattle River Trail and over to Mt. Moriah. Then backtracked on Kenduskeag and went over to Shelburne Moriah. Then backtracked again and went down Rattle River Trail.
I love Moriah, but Shelburne Moriah was the highlight of this trip. Kenduskeag Trail is a bit overgrown, a bit muddy, and totally gorgeous. The scenery reminds me of Mahoosuc Trail around Mt. Success. |
