Nice clockwise loop of these trails including an out and back to Lawrence Trail from Cabin Trail. Found a surprisingly deep, cold swimming hole not far fromn the intersection of Whitlin Brook Trail and Big Rock Cave trail. Also made a mini loop of Big Rock Cave Trail Old Paugus Trail back to BRCT. The Big Rock Cave is an interesting feature as well. On my way out at the Wilderness sign i headed in about 300 feet through open woods to what seemed the high point of Mt Mexico on a raised bump. |
