Comments
Comments: Dry trail up to about 3000' No need for gaitors until then. A few icy spots but easy to get around. At 3000' near the long traverse the monorail starts and microspikes worked well although I saw a few using snowshoes. I was worrird after reading the TRs from Friday that snowshoes would be necessary. I decided to leave them behind anyway and was treated to a nicely packed trail of melting snow and frozen monorail. We made excellent time on the way down after having the summit to ourselves for nearly an hour.
