 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Most of the trail was clear. There is one large limb blocking half of the trail at about 2500 on the CFT. Must have been there for a few weeks cause the leaves are now brown. Branch may be able to be removed with a hand saw. The blazes on the ledges heading up to Chocorah were difficult to see; many were faded and in some cases not easy to find. These need to be repainted. Thankfully, there are a few carins to help guide hikers, too. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Cody had a blast. Several other friendly pups out today, as well. Trail is gradual and pretty easy for pups, but the ledges can be tricky for some dogs. There are several bigger jumps (up and down), that may be difficult for some. Nice to have water flowing in the lower stream crossings for cooling off and getting a fresh drink, and of course, to clean off before getting back in the car. At higher elevations, there is limited water on the trail, so make sure you have plenty for your thirsty pup. |

Great morning hike for Codys 52WAV list. Most of the trails and ledges were dry, but there was one lower section that was a bit wet (wet rocks and water running on trail). We arrived at the summit before the crowds; there were only a 4 others. There was at least one camp bus full of kids, and multiple other parties approaching as we left the summit. Of course, no one was on Middle Sister with us. Views were pretty good, could see for many miles. |
