Comments
Comments: Valley Way barebootable, though some used snowshoes and some might want light traction (especially with softer boots). I put on crampons at Madison Hut and used them up Madison and Adams. I had ice ax in hand - some would consider this overkill, but there are some spots on both peaks where a slip or stumble could end badly. Many cairns on Gulfside were rimed and/or drifted, - not an issue today with stellar visibility, but that would make things more challenging in the fog.
