Woke up at great gulf camp around 3200 and made the way up! Six husbands had a few spots where too many herd paths took a little to locate the trail without blazes anywhere. Once pushing through the thick brush before the talus field, we made it to gulfside where the trail starts to close in. Clouds came through for the rest of the day but no rain today. We opted out of the summit of Jefferson and Washington as we hit Clay, got back to the auto road and headed down. We were offered 1 ride but had no issues on the road. We hit Chandler brook and made the tedious way down to the great gulf where the tents still stood. Only 2 cars were left other than our car in the lot. Sucessful overnight in the great gulf! |
