Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The crossing of Garfield Stream was easy. All other crossings are minor.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Logs are broken on a few of the log bridges on the Gale River Trail. Even so, it is easy to get by. There are sections of the North Twin Spur that need trimming. Hikers will be soaked when these evergreen boughs are wet. Saw some new signs. Otherwise, the trails were in good condition.

Comments
Comments: Most of the trail surfaces are try. The worst mud is on the North Twin Spur. There are rocks in the mud stretches that facilitate dry passage, although some are hard to detect as they are mud covered. There is some small mud spots on the Gale River Trail. There were a couple of leaners over the North Twin Spur that were not hard to get by.
Great views from South Twin & North Twin and some limited views from a spot to the east of the Galehead summit and a ledge just off the Frost Trail.
Lots of hikers out today. AT hikers, Pemi Loopers, hut guest, and day hikers. One man was originally from Myanmar (Burma). The hikers that came up the North Twin Trail reported that the Little River crossing was not difficult.
