 | Dog-Related Notes: |
5 very good doggos were spotted and admired today! This is a good route for dogs. There is water along the trail until you reach the turn in the trail around 3300 feet. |
|
 | Bugs: |
There were some black flies around the summit but the breeze did a good job of keeping them at bay. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Nothing lost and nothing found. |

The plan for today was to intercept my sister from another mother as she was reaching the summit. Objective achieved! The weather today was beautiful so the trails were busy. I started early so most of the people I saw were on my way down. The trail is quite dry. The only wet areas are the areas back in the trees as you get closer to the summit. The strategically placed rocks are sticking out enough this month that I was able to use them to mostly stay out of the mud. The few other areas of mud lower on the trail are supportive and I just walked right over them. Lots of friendly and happy hikers out today. And it was SO good to see Lori today! That made my day! |
