Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Noted many new signs installed by the Gilmanton Conservation Commission, who do a great job out here. One nitpick is the inconsistency in naming. Examples: On the official map, the red trail is called "Main Summit Trail" but a signed refers to it as Cogswell Mtn Trail". On the map, the entirety of the trail over the east peak is called "East Summit Trail" but a sign refers to the extension beyond the summit as "Blue Line Extension". On the ground, nearly all signs don't have any trail names and just refer to a destination ("East Peak").
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This is a good place for dogs but please keep them leashed.
Bugs
Bugs: They were out but not too bothersome.

Comments
Comments: A nice loop over the east peak of Cogswell This morning. Dry ground and good views from the summit. I usually don't see anyone else here but today there were close to ten other folks (and a few dogs) enjoying the nice day. Always a treat to hike this great area!
