Completely dry on Lincoln Woods and for a good part of Osseo. Eventually you start getting snow and then it becomes consistent cover to the summit. I actually barebooted the whole way, but could see how light traction would have been useful. Still, bareboots, poles and a some care got me to where I wanted to go. The ladders were somewhat tricky, but they're becoming more uncovered, so that it's possible to get up and down them without problems.
Great weather and lots of people out, it seems. Kind of surreal to be in a snowy place and descend into almost summer-like weather. |
