|Date of Hike:
||Saturday, April 14, 2012|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Plenty of space at Lincoln Woods, though there were still quite a few cars. |
||Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Snow - Wet/Sticky |
|Water Crossing Notes:
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||The 2 I saw looked very happy, but I couldn't say what their owner may have been doing to keep them so. |
||Don't let them fool you, there are some. Came back with a bite to prove it. |
|Lost and Found:
||Completely dry on Lincoln Woods and for a good part of Osseo. Eventually you start getting snow and then it becomes consistent cover to the summit. I actually barebooted the whole way, but could see how light traction would have been useful. Still, bareboots, poles and a some care got me to where I wanted to go. The ladders were somewhat tricky, but they're becoming more uncovered, so that it's possible to get up and down them without problems.|
Great weather and lots of people out, it seems. Kind of surreal to be in a snowy place and descend into almost summer-like weather.
